My favorite gems on painting:

Always paint on good quality watercolor paper.

Every artist struggles to paint the picture they see in their mind, and the artist is the only one who knows how well they succeeded.

When painting with watercolor, always know how much water is on the page.

Watercolors do not work well for painting desert landscapes outdoors.

Impressionist style works well in a theater.

It is usually too hot to paint an outdoor theater set in direct sunlight

Always have good ventilation when painting indoors

Save your clothes. Wear the same outfit for painting sets, and call it your Jackson Pollack look.

Just paint!
